basic exercises For good health go back to basics

In the 21st century, pretty much everything is dependent on technology. One of the greatest example is the use of technology in the field of health and medicines. Technology has definitely brought some major relief when it comes to treating health related problems by increasing life expectancies, easing the treatment procedures etc. Let us take the smallest of the examples where during a headache, you would simply pop in an asprin or one of those pain reliving pills and fall under the illusion that the headache has been treated. But what they actually do is they cut off the pain gates connecting to the brain and gives you an illusion of addressing the problem when they actually have just been repressed. I might be contradicting what I said earlier, but I am just trying to prove the point that technology might have its positive points. But we are so fazed by the illusion it creates that we tend to over look the more important results of using them. Instead of wondering how the result is achieved, we just get amazed by the final product.

It is therefore important that we don’t fall completely dependent on technology and its synthetic substances as the body might seem to be adjusting to them, it actually is degenerating from within. If synthetic substances were soo good for us, we could probably survive on pills and leave the natural food to the animals. It is therefore extremely important to be proactive when it comes to our health and try to avoid taking pills as much as possible. We can relate this to one of the oldest sayings which quotes ‘prevention is better than cure’ or as the Chinese, who are the best when it comes to natural medical treatment say ‘to treat someone who is already sick is to start making weapons after the war has already begun’. Healthy living seems to have been ignored for a while now with mc donald’s and pizza hut slowly creeping into the youths life leading to obesity related problems.

Thus begins a cycle of events. First a genetically fit person starts living on junk and synthetic and becomes obese. After which comes the dieting period  which again gets them dependent on pills and drugs as in today’s world people live in the ‘I want it now’ zone. This is the incite to the various preventive measures and maintenance of our body.  Diet for some people is a challenge while for some it is a distant dream. The ones who take this up as a challenge sometimes seem to loose their motive of becoming fit and rather start focusing more on becoming thin which kills the entire purpose of dieting. Dieting could be replaced for living healthy to get to which point some people end up taking some extreme steps such as taking pills, getting operated etc. Dieting is not cutting down on food, but eating good healthy food not just for a stipulated time, but replaces it by the junk they eat in general. It is more important to eat what the body needs and not the mind. It is important to take up a diet plan which the body is comfortable with and not just stick to the various TV shows or books that you read. Studies have proved that there is no specific diet which is best for everyone.

Diets are not supposed to be expensive as they two basic things required for a successful diet is good food such as grains, vegetables and exercise. None of these things require any sort of heavy investment unless you are too fazed by celebrities trying to promote a specific sort of diet plan or product.

It is time that you start shifting to the basics of a healthy living and start eating fresh and light so that when you grow old, you won’t have to preach a younger man on what to eat and what not to eat based on your painful experiences.
