Brisk Walking – The Best Exercise
Holistic Fitness | August 12, 2011 | ShareIf you’ve decided to lose some weight then you’ll have most likely created some kind of workout plan. Maybe you’re a newbie to exercising or you haven’t done any workouts in a while Usually it may feel a bit too much and even a little bit awful… not to worry, there’s a quick way to get back into working out again: walking! You should incorporate walking into your workout plan if you haven’t already done so.
It’s easy to add walking to your day-to-day schedule. You might want to take your beloved dog for a 10-minute stroll around the neighborhood. A minimum of 10 minutes daily may not appear like a lot of walking time until you realize that it equates to 70 minutes over the course of a week. Walking with your dog twice per day will double that number. If you don’t life too far from your office, see if you can walk all or part of the way. However, if you live a two hour walk from your work place, it’s not such a great idea to walk there daily (but feel free to try if you believe you can do it!). Walking 30 minutes to your office is not unachievable and, by the time you walk to and from work, you will have walked an hour a day. If you commute to work, consider walking to the next bus stop and incorporate some exercise to your day. It’s simple to add walking into your daily routine.
Walking is excellent for your body and whole health. You can expect to improve your heart health as well as slim down since walking is a type of aerobic workout. Unlike running, which can strain your joints, you can walk at any pace that is comfrotable for you. I asked my brother who loves eating junk food about how he keeps his weight under control. He assures me he doesn’t know, but he did tell me that he does a lot of walking daily. It made perfect sense when he told me that. The non-difficulty of walking makes it inconceivable to come up with explantaions for not trying it.
If you can get into the habit of walking each day, it will come naturally to you and you’ll be able to slim down. As walking is not a tiring physical activity, it’s better to stay motivated and stick to your plan. After you have been walking daily, you’ll most likely want to hike up the intensity level to experience even more benefit. If you sense you’re ready to move on to something more arduous, don’t be scared to do it. Walk at a faster pace than you usually do and possibly jog for a few steps along the way if you feel keen to do it. The next thing to do is to add even more arduous exercises.
